Moore Fam Reunion 2013

As always, the Moore Family Reunion was a blast. I look forward to it each year, and though I know it will be craziness until the week is over, it's totally worth it.

Here are some of the highlights from this year--

Food for champions: The food is always amazing each year. It was even more so with these awesome studs cooking the bacon for us.

Epic sword fights: Uncle Russell made several swords from pvc pipe, pool noodles, and duct tape, and then shields from cardboard. We had epic fights almost every night. For some reason it always ended up being the grown-up men versus the nephews.

My favorite part was they when one of them would die they would jump off the grass onto the rocks, say, "New guy." and then jump right back into the thick of it.
My favorite picture of Brig dying epically.
Andy tried to get in on the fun
Christian wanted to play swords too.

Hiking: There is always a big group hike to Rosie's Mine, but I stayed behind with a sleeping baby. We did, however, get out on a mini hike when some family and friends that came up for the day.

Biking: My dad easily convinced Chase, Brig and Brandon to go on a bike ride with him.

Tie dye with Terry: Aunt Terry had the awesome idea to tie dye shirts this year. It was such a fun adventure and the shirts turned out fabulous.

Grandma got a pedicure: A few of the older girls decided they wanted to pamper Grandma with a pedicure. MaKell even gave her a head massage.

Getting a ride from Aunt Shanny: Andy was lucky enough to get a ride on the 4-wheeler with Aunt Shan. He loved it and loves her.

Playing in the creek: My dad was beat up after his bike ride so he went to the creek with all the nieces and nephews to soak in the water. Lela and Charlotte kept him company. Thanks to Aunt Ruth for snagging this picture!

Family and Friends that came up to join us: There is an open invitation to the Moore Family Reunion. I believe my mother-in-law actually calls it the "Moore Family & Friends Reunion." I was lucky enough to get my grandparents, parents, brother's family, and some friends to come visit for a day.

Stylin' Mohawks: Thanks to wet hair and wind we were able to style a sweet Mohawk for the Z-man.

Playing with Little People: We took this little Fisher-Price house and some little people up to camp with us. Andy loves playing with them. It is one of the only times he will stay still.

These two amazing people who started it all! Without them, I wouldn't have a reunion to look forward to.
