The Unfortunate Thing

The unfortunate thing to surprises is that there is always an end.

Having my family up here was so wonderful. It was great to spend time with them, even if we weren't really doing much of anything.

While hanging at the house we did an array of different things, but my favorite was playing "Imaginiff."

Lets just say that Dustin and I ended up crying because we were laughing so hard, and my mom was giggling in the background the whole time.

We also introduced my younger siblings to the joys of "Hogan's Heros," a fabulous tv series from back in the day. If you ever need a good laugh just watch an episode or two. Classic humor.

Even though the weather was kind of crummy we did manage to get in a hike while everyone was here. In fact we went hiking on our way back from Seward. It was the Winner Creek Trail (more commonly known as the Hand Tram Trail) and there was still snow.

Nicole, Addie and I only went part way to the tram and then headed back to the car. Everyone else kept going, but unfortunately the hand tram was closed so Mel and Dustin only got to get a picture in it.

It was fun, even though all I really wanted to do was get home and eat dinner. :)

My dad, mom, & Dustin headed home on Memorial Day because Dustin had some important Senior Activities the following day, but Nicole, Addie and Mel stayed until Tuesday.

After we sent half of our group to the airport the rest of us piled in our Sube and went to lunch at one of my favorite places up here. Humpy's. After that we decided that we would visit the Alaska National Cemetery.

Tuesday was pretty low key because we had to take the rest of our party to the airport for their journey back to UT.

I hope this isn't the only time my family ventures up this way. Thankfully, I'll get to see my grandparents at the beginning of September and then my mom at the end of September for the arrival of Jr. (that is what Nicole calls my unborn child.)
