- Semi's passing our little blue Subaru on the freeway when we would go up hills.
- The purchase of "Remember the Titans," "Field of Dreams," and "Newsies," along with a sweet puzzle calendar and Pictionary all for $5.
- We found the "Baby Boomer's Edition" of Trivial Pursuit at the DI too. We hadn't seen Brig's mom yet so we went and found her and Aunt Terry in one of the dressing rooms. We knew it was them because of their feet. So we shoved the game under the door. After awhile Cheryl gently pushed the game back out with her foot, thinking it was just a little child. So, we shoved it back under. And she kicked it back out. It became a game of back and forth. Finally Terry saw my Chacos so she got down on all fours. It was pretty funny.
- After our hike through Padre's canyon we returned to camp to realize that the squirrels could not be trusted. Refer to here for post about vicious squirrels.
- The Bear Claw Poppy bike trail. It was AWESOME! You bike up this little trail and then you come down through a BMX bike park. Brig spent about half his time in the air.
- Bluegrass band practice with Aunt Terry and Grandpa Young.
- Hiking 13 miles in one day. [It felt more like 50 to my body the next day.] The first hike was Observation Point (8 miles round trip) and then after a short break at the bottom, we hiked Angel's Landing (5 miles round trip).
- Gardening with Grandpa, Grandma, and Terry.
- Making Safety Pin Watches with Terry.
For those picture lovers: I made multiple different slide shows of most of the pictures I took while down there. You can find them here if you so desire. [They are the ones with the gold stars.]
