A HERO's Christmas

In my family, instead of giving presents to everyone, we have a rotation where we give a present to that person. We also choose a theme for the present we give to each other. This year's theme was:
"A HERO'S CHRISTMAS".

The rotation went as follows:
Dad --> Melanie
Mom--> Dustin
Nicole & Talon --> Dad
Chels & Brig --> Mom
Melanie --> Nic & Tal
Dustin --> Chels & Brig

(My brother Chase was kicked out of the family rotation for 2 years because he is on a mission in Costa Rica.)

• My dad gave Melanie a ski backpack stuffed with a punching bag, a Pacman game, and a Batman t-shirt. The ski backpack fell into the theme of "Hero" because every good ski hero needs a skiing backpack...and same goes for the punching bag. I think the Pacman game and Batman t-shirt are self-explanatory.

• My mom gave Dustin the super hero cape that said "Dustin Studmuffin" because Dustin signed one of his school assignments like that.... He also received a slew of hero games and videos including: The Hulk, The Dark Night, Lego Batman, and Iron Man.

• Nicole and Talon gave my dad a photobook of random old photos and said that he was their Hero. This of course made my dad weep. He loved it!

• Brigham and I gave my mom a water color painting of the St. George Temple. My parents were married in the St. George temple back in 1981. Seeing as God is everyone's hero, and the temple is His house...we figured it would be a good "Hero" gift.

• Melanie gave Nicole and Talon Guitar Hero for their new Wii. This one doesn't really need to be explained.

• Dustin gave Brigham and me Batman pillow cases, a Superman blanket, and a new mattress! He tried to find super hero sheets to go on our new bed but they don't make them in Queen size aparently. I have wanted a new mattress for a while because I would wake up sore in the morning....not anymore!
